So as I was climbing up a ladder to the roof inside the under construction Warwick Middle School in Lititz, PA I wondered if hazard pay should have been considered when I negotiated the contract for this job. For those who don’t know me, I”m a big guy and heights and I don’t exactly get along too well.
Thankfully it was a big flat roof and it was more than worth the trip to shoot the video we needed. I was up on the roof shooting a video for a new product just introduced by Firestone Metal Products called the UNA-CLIP. It’s designed to save time when installing metal wall panels. Rather than having to attach the clips to the panel with screws, the UNA-CLIP clips directly to the panel saving installers time and effort.
The star of the video Bob Griffiths invented the clip and his knowledge of the product was very helpful to make sure I was getting all the right shots. Unlike me, he was right at home on the job site. I’m happy to report that I made it back down the ladder safe and sound along with all the video gear.
The marketing department at Firestone was very happy with the final product and has already used it at a trade show this past week.
